Delete your IRL Club account

The fastest, most reliable way to delete your account is from inside the app:

1. Open the IRL Club app (Android / iOS) or visit https://ireal.club in any browser.
2. Sign in to your account.
3. Tap your profile picture in the top-right, then choose Settings.
4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
5. Confirm by typing DELETE in the confirmation field. Your account is deleted immediately.

There is no recovery once the confirmation is submitted. If you want to keep specific posts or memories, save or export them before continuing.

Include in the email:

• The email address or phone number registered with your IRL Club account
• Your display name on the platform
• Any other identifying details (e.g., username) that help us verify ownership

We process all email-based deletion requests within 7 business days. You'll receive a confirmation email once your account and associated data have been removed.

The following personal data is permanently and irreversibly removed:

• Profile data: name, email, profile photo, bio, age, gender, interests
• Content: posts, reels, moments, and any uploaded media (images, videos, files)
• Engagement: comments, likes, reactions on other users' content
• Messages: all direct messages and group chat history sent by you (recipients keep their copy, anonymized)
• Groups & clubs: solo-admin groups/clubs you created (groups with other admins are transferred)
• Activity: event RSVPs, trip plans, club memberships
• Device data: push notification tokens and device identifiers
• Auth credentials: password hash and any linked OAuth identifiers (e.g., Google Sign-In link)

To meet legal, regulatory, and security obligations, a small amount of anonymised or de-identified data is retained:

• Audit & transaction logs: anonymised records of payments, withdrawals, and account access are retained for 90 days for fraud detection and account-recovery dispute handling.
• Legally required records: records required by Indian tax law (e.g., Razorpay payment IDs for the past 7 years) and any records subject to an active legal investigation are retained as required by law.
• Aggregated analytics: non-personally-identifiable, aggregated metrics (e.g., total events created, total users per city) are retained indefinitely in a fully de-identified form.

None of the retained items can be used to re-identify you. All other personal data is destroyed.

If you only want to remove specific content rather than your whole account, you can:

• Delete individual posts, reels, and moments from your profile
• Delete individual photos and videos from any post or message
• Delete individual messages from any conversation
• Leave any group, club, event, or trip at any time
• Unlink your Google account or change your password from Settings → Privacy

These actions take effect immediately and do not require contacting support.

In-app deletion: immediate. Your account disappears the moment you confirm.

Email deletion request: processed within 7 business days of receiving a verifiable request.
